NOTICE OF ABATEMENT OF NOXIOUS VEGETATION - Between June 15 and September 15 of any year, no owner or person in charge of property located in Creswell shall allow noxious vegetation to be on the property or rights-of-way of a public thoroughfare abutting the property. An owner or person in charge of property shall cut down or destroy grass, shubbery, brush, bushes, weeds, blackberry bushes, and other noxious vegetation as often as needed to prevent them from becoming unsightly, from maturing and going to seed. It is the duty of all owners and person in charge of property to keep their property free from noxious vegetation. The City is willing to abate the nuisance on a particular parcel of property at the request of the owner or person in charge of the property for a fee sufficient to cover the City's costs. In the absence of such requests the City intends to abate all such nuisances 10 or more days after the final publication of this notice and will charge the cost of doing so to the owner or the person in charge of the respective property. In accordance with Ordinance No. 256 Section 15, Subsection 4, this notice shall be published three times as follows: May 23rd, May 30th and June 6th, 2013.

CITY COUNCIL VACANCIES - The City of Creswell is seeking interested applicants who reside within the city limits of Creswell to fill two (2) vacancies on the Creswell City Council. The term for these positions ends on December 31, 2014. Applications are available at City Hall from 9 am - 5 pm, Monday thru Friday, or online at www.ci.creswell-or.us. (Please see the home page). Completed applications must be received in City Hall by 12:00 pm on April 9, 2103.
FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING OF THE CRESWELL CITY COUNCIL - The Creswell City Council Finance Committee will meet on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. The meeting will be held at the Creswell Community Center located at 99 South 1st Street beginning at 6:00 pm.
SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING - The City Council will hold a Special City Council Meeting on February 20, 2013 beginning at 11:00 am in the Creswell Community Center located at 99 South 1st Street, Creswell, Oregon.
TRANSPORTATION AND PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MEETING OF THE CRESWELL CITY COUNCIL - The Creswell City Council Transportation and Public Works Committee will meet on Monday, February 25, 2013. The meeting will be held at the Creswell Community Center, 99 South 1st Street, beginning at 3:00 p.m. The committee will be gathering information and studying the history of water and sewer projects to determine future needs of the City.
ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING OF THE CRESWELL CITY COUNCIL - The Creswell City Council Administration Committee will meet on Tuesday, February 19, 2013. The meeting will be held at the Creswell Community Center located at 99 South 1st Street beginning at 5:00 p.m. The committee will be discussing the timeline and distribution process of the performance evaluation for the city administrator.
ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING OF THE CRESWELL CITY COUNCIL - The Creswell City Council Administration Committee will meet on Tuesday, January 22, 2013. The meeting will be held at the Creswell Community Center located at 99 South 1st Street beginning at 5:00 p.m. The committee will review performance evaluation processes.

BUILDING FEE RATE INCREASE - A public hearing shall be held on August 13, 2012 at 7:00 p.m., at the Creswell Community Center, 99 South 1st Street, Creswell Oregon, for the purpose of receiving public comment on a proposed rate increase for the Building Department LLC as outlined in draft Resolution 2012-21. SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING - The City Council will hold a Special City Council Meeting on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 5:00 pm in the Creswell Community Center, 99 South 1st Street, Creswell, Oregon. The purpose of this meeting is for Council to provide staff direction regarding the City Hall 2nd Floor Project.
SANIPAC RATE INCREASE - A public hearing shall be held on July 9, 2012 at 7:00 p.m., at the Creswell Community Center, 99 South 1st Street, Creswell Oregon, for the purpose of receiving public comment on a proposed rate increase for Waste Connections Inc., (Sanipac) as outlined in draft Resolution 2012-20. BUDGET HEARING - A public meeting of the Creswell City Council will be held on June 25, 2012 at the Creswell Community Center, 99 South 1st Street, Creswell Oregon. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2012 as approved by the City of Creswell Budget Committee. A summary of the budget is presented below. A copy of the budget may be inspected or obtained at Creswell City Hall, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This budget is for an annual budget period. This budget was prepared on a basis of accounting that is the same as used in the preceding year.

NOTICE OF ELECTIONS - Notice is hereby given that the City of Creswell will hold a general election on November 6, 2012. There will be four (4) vacancies for the positions of: Mayor (two year term) and three (3) City Councilor positions (four year term). The postions of Mayor and City Councilor are nonpartisan, at large positions. To qualify as a candidate you must be: A qualified elector within the meaning of the State Constitution, and a resident of the City of Creswell during the twelve months preceding the election. Any person wishing to run for office may pick up a packet beginning May 30, 2012, at City Hall, 13 South 1st Street, Creswell. The 2012 deadline for filing petitions for candidacy is Tuesday, August 28, 2012 by 5:00 PM.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING - NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Creswell will hold a joint public hearing of its Council and its Public Contract Review Board regarding adoption of amendments to its Public Contracting Rules on the 7th day of March 2011, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at 99 South 1st Street, Creswell, Oregon.
