City-Wide Cleanup FAQ

Q: Will I have to unload my vehicle?

A: No, Public Works will unload your vehicle for you. Maintenance staff also operates equipment and assists as needed.

Q: Who can participate in the City-wide Cleanup?

A: City of Creswell residents who live within City limits. No businesses please! You are required to show proof of residency (a driver’s license).

Q: Are there any fees to participate in the City-wide Cleanup  ?

A: No! The City of Creswell values providing this annual event free of charge to our community.

Q: When is this year’s  City-wide Cleanup?

A: The 2016 Clean Up will be held on May 14th, with access to the Public Works Yard from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm. Note that due to popularity of this event there may be a waiting time.

Q: How do I know which items are acceptable?

A: Please visit the Acceptable Items page.

Q: Are there materials you won’t accept?

A: Yes, there are a few items that will NOT be accepted at Spring Clean- Up. These include: computer monitors, TVs, household garbage, paint and household chemicals.  There is a LIMIT on tires.  Please visit acceptable items for a full list of items we will NOT accept.

Q: Is there a pickup service?

A: Public Works staff will be able to pick up APPLIANCES ONLY. Please call City Hall at 541-895-2531 for more information and to sign up. All requests must be made as soon as possible prior to 12:00pm on Thursday, May 12th. Public works will be picking up appliances on the Thursday and Friday before the City-wide Cleanup.  

Q: What if the event is held on a wet and rainy day?

A: No problem! Rain or shine, we are prepared for all types of weather

The City of Creswell’s goal is to keep as much stuff as possible out of the landfill. When preparing for Cleanup day, please consider donating items to the following:

Building Materials: BRING recycling (4446 Franklin Blvd, Eugene, OR 97403)

Clothing, furniture, household items: Goodwill drop off (Joe’s Diner Parking Lot)

Electronics: Next Step recycling (980 McKinley St Eugene, OR 97402)
