Chip Sealing Project Overview

The City of Creswell is pleased to announce the commencement of a chip sealing project aimed at enhancing the durability and safety of our local roadways.

What is Chip Sealing?
Chip sealing is a cost-effective road maintenance technique that involves applying a layer of liquid asphalt followed by the placement of small aggregate stones. This process helps to seal cracks, improve skid resistance, and extend the life of the pavement.

Objectives:

  • Preserve Road Integrity: By sealing the surface, we protect the underlying pavement from moisture infiltration and prevent further deterioration.

  • Enhance Safety: Improved surface conditions will provide better traction for vehicles, reducing the likelihood of accidents.

  • Cost Efficiency: Chip sealing is a budget-friendly alternative to complete road resurfacing, allowing the city to maximize resources while maintaining quality road infrastructure.

Community Impact:
While the project may cause temporary disruptions, we are committed to minimizing inconveniences to residents and commuters. We appreciate the community's patience and understanding as we work to enhance Creswell’s roadways.

The City of Creswell is dedicated to maintaining a safe and reliable transportation network for all residents. This chip sealing project is an important step towards achieving that goal.
