Building Department Overview

The City of Creswell Building Department oversees and enforces Oregon State Building, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical codes as well as the life, safety, and fire safety codes within Creswell City limits. The Building Permit Tech, Angela Keppler, reviews all plans and permits that are submitted to the City of Creswell.

The City of Creswell takes part in the statewide ePermitting program. This program allows contractors use of multiple online services, such as purchasing permits, submitting plans electronically for review, and tracking permit progress. If you need assistance setting up a new account or applying for a permit, please call the ePermitting Help Desk at 1-800-442-7457.

Building Permits

Many of you may decide to build a shed or storage building in your yard for gardening tools, mowers, trimmers, etc.  Before you start building or installing anything, please check our Municipal Code online to see if you need a permit for your project or if your project might be exempt.

If you are a homeowner doing your own work, please complete a building permit application for structural, plumbing or mechanical work or an electrical permit application. See below - all applications are the bottom of this page.  Once completed, please submit to our Building Permit Technician.  Please provide a copy of your plans with your application.

If you have any questions please call our Building Permit Tech at 541-895-2531 ext. 304.

Building Inspections

Inspections are scheduled through ePermitting. Inspections days in Creswell are Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Please visit the Oregon ePermitting website to schedule an inspection or call 1-888-299-2821 and provide the IVR# located on your permit.  Once the inspection is complete, the inspection results are sent to the email address associated with the permit.
