Small Business Resource Fair. The Lane SBDC business resource fair gives our clients the opportunity to connect with local organizations which provide resources to enhance their success. Some services you can expect at the fair include funding institutions, chambers of commerce, tax assistance, marketing, and more! The event will be held on September 24, 2024 from 6pm to 8pm at 101 West 10th Avenue in Eugene.

Do you know the signs of a rental scam?
• They ask for rent or a security deposit before signing a lease: Do not wire money as a deposit or payment for the first and last month's rent. You cannot get a refund when you wire money, even if you find out the offer was a fraud. • They want you to sign an incomplete lease: By going through your lease to make sure there are no blank spaces, vague writing, or incomplete sentences, you're making sure that you will not be harmed by a manipulated lease in the future. • The listing has typos, poor grammar, or excessive punctuation: If you come across a rental listing that is full of typos, has poor grammar, and contains excessive punctuation, it was likely created by a scammer.

2024 CHIP SEAL PROJECT UPDATE The City of Creswell will be conducting a chip sealing of Creswood (up to the 500 block), North 2nd Street, and East Gilfry Avenue. This project will begin on September 13th, 2024 and is expected to conclude by September 24th, 2024. Those that are driving in the area should expect traffic delays and be on the lookout for construction vehicles, flaggers, and people at work.
