At the December 11 meeting of the Creswell City Council, Christina Allen was appointed to fill the vacant Council position. On the following day, it was learned that Ms. Allen has a relative who is employed by the City of Creswell. This poses a possible conflict of interest when the Council votes on the annual budget. A special meeting of the Council has been called for December 18 at 6pm in Creswell City Hall. The Council will discuss whether or not to reconsider the appointment of Ms. Allen. The public is invited to attend. As this is a special meeting of the Council, there will not be a public forum.
