Happy Sunday, Creswell! Paisley has yet another safety tip for you today! Since City Hall receives a lot of calls about lost pets on July 5th, Paisley encourages everyone to ensure that their pets are wearing ID tags before the fireworks begin!

The 4th of July can be a scary time for pets, with many of them running off when they hear fireworks! You can help your animal get home safely by making sure that they are wearing their ID tag before the fireworks begin!
With the 4th of July only days away, it is very important to make sure that grass is mowed and noxious vegetation is cleared out! If you have any questions or concerns about noxious vegetation, please contact our Code Enforcement Officer, Chelsie, at 541-895-2531 ext. 315

Why is noxious vegetation season such a big deal in creswell? Keeping grass, weeds, blackberry bushes, and other vegetation maintained helps make our wonderful city look good! Ensuring that foliage does not extend into the right of way (such as sidewalks) helps prevent blind spots for drivers and makes sidewalks accessible for pedestrians. Foliage that is maintained is less likely to become a fire hazard, which helps keep our town a safe place to live, especially for those with disablities or other circumstances that might make it difficult to escape a wildfire.
Back by popular demand, here are the City of Creswell's Street Sweeper dates for July 2024. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Public Works Director, Cliff Bellew, at 541-895-2395.
