Properly storing water for emergencies is just as crucial as storing food. Here’s how to make sure your water supply is safe and accessible: 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: Store water where everyone in your household can easily reach it. 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Keep water in a dark, dry, and consistently cool space (ideally 50-70°F or 10-21°C). Avoid storing it in direct sunlight. 𝐀𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Don’t store water near chemicals, fuels, or strong-smelling products that could affect its quality. 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Store water in different areas of your home so if one spot is affected by a disaster, you still have access to other parts of your supply. 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐳𝐞𝐫 𝐔𝐬𝐞: Keep some water in your freezer to create ice jugs. They can help keep food cool and provide drinking water as they melt. Proper storage ensures you have clean, accessible water when you need it most. Stay prepared

Today the City of Creswell recognizes National Indigenous Peoples Day, a day in which we honor native peoples, such as the Kalapuyans that called this area home, and recognize their contributions and resilience.

Happy National Indigenous People’s Day! Today, we honor Indigenous Peoples' Day, a time to reflect on the rich history and contributions of Native peoples across the continent. In the area that is now Creswell, Oregon, the Kalapuyan tribe thrived for centuries, cultivating the land and living in harmony with nature. Their deep connection to the land and their vibrant culture deserve our recognition and respect. Let us take this opportunity to learn from their stories, celebrate their resilience, and commit to supporting Indigenous communities today and every day.

Safety Sundays with paisley. Hey, favorite humans! Just like I’m picky about which pups I play with, it’s super important to be careful about who you share your personal info with online. Not everyone is as friendly as they seem! If someone asks for your name or address, wag your tail and think twice before sharing.

Rain is coming, Creswell! Here are some ways that we can prepare for the rainy weather!
11 days ago, Creswell Admin
Get Ready for Rain! Clear leaves and yard debris off streets and storm drains. Clear gutters and downspouts. Keep yard debris and leaf piles away from ditches and streams so culverts don't get plugged.
We know that everyone is preparing for Trick-or-Treaters! Remember to make sure that your decorations are not just spooky, but safe, too!
11 days ago, Creswell Admin
Keep Halloween decorations away from open flames, light bulbs and heaters. It's easy for decorations like cornstalks and crepe paper to catch on fire. Keep exits clear of decorations, so nothing blocks a way out.
Happy Friday, Creswell! It is once again time for some trivia! Here's a hint: you can find the answer in the newsletter archives on our website!
