Creswell Heroes. Bethany Scovil, Creswell School District Communications & Community Engagement Coordinator. Bethany Scovil moved to Creswell in August 2021 and quickly found herself wanting to connect more with the community. After working remotely, she applied for a Communications position with the Creswell School District in April 2023. In this role, Bethany shares the district’s news through the CSD40 Newsletter, website, and social media, keeping families, staff, and students informed about the great things happening in their schools. Beyond her job, Bethany has played an active role in local events, including bringing back the CHS Homecoming parade and organizing performances at home football games for CHS and CMS groups. As a volunteer head coach, she also helped launch the junior cheer program at Creswell Middle School in Fall 2024.For Bethany, community involvement is a reflection of her faith in Jesus Christ. She says, “My relationship with Jesus motivates everything I do.” Her passion for building relationships and helping others shines through in her work, and she encourages others to get involved. “Creswell has a wonderful spirit of volunteerism. Whether it’s helping students with reading or sharing your experiences, there are countless ways to contribute,” she adds. Bethany’s deep connection to Creswell and its people continues to grow, and she’s excited to see how the community will keep coming together.
