Romeo World’s Tallest Steer Romeo proudly holds the title of the world’s tallest living steer, standing at 6 feet 4.5 inches. More than just a remarkable animal, he symbolizes compassion and empathy in the Creswell community.“I represent the kindness this community holds for animals,” he shares. Although he doesn't roam the streets often, his message of support for animals and the environment resonates deeply. Motivated by community love, Romeo has become a local celebrity. “Every time people hear my story, it sparks curiosity and compassion,” he says. He enjoys participating in events like Romeo's Fall Festival, which celebrates animals in a cruelty-free way. As the "spokes-steer" for kindness, Romeo collaborates with Welcome Home Animal Sanctuary to promote empathy toward farmed animals. He believes that, as a gentle giant, he inspires others to embrace a more compassionate lifestyle. Inspiration comes from the animals at the sanctuary and the dedicated volunteers. “Together, we’re showing that a small town can have a big impact on how we treat animals,” he notes. Each interaction can spread a little more love and kindness. Romeo proudly claims, “I’d like to think I’m the community’s tallest advocate for love and compassion.” His experiences in Creswell affirm his belief that kindness flourishes here, making him a cherished member of the community.

Happy Sunday, Creswell! Here is Paisley's first safety tip of the year!

Safety Sundays with Paisley. Just a quick reminder from your favorite dog: keep that gas tank of yours at least half full! You see, when the gas tank gets too low, the fuel line could freeze! Trust me, you don’t want to be stuck in the cold without a way to get to the park or your favorite treats!
