We have officially sprung forward, Creswell! Just remember to take it easy today and don't drive if you are feeling sleep deprived!

It is super normal to be a little tired after losing an hour of sleep to daylight savings. Just remember not to drive while sleep deprived! Take it easy and have a stretch break!
Remember to Spring Forward, Creswell! And maybe go to bed an hour early (if you want).

Do you know what the City of Creswell's process is for lost and found dogs? Here's a quick summary! If you have any questions, please contact City Hall at 541-895-2531.
about 2 months ago, Creswell Admin
What happens when the City finds a lost dog? City staff work hard to locate the dog’s owner by checking our licensing system and seeing if the dog has a chip. The City feeds and looks after the dog until the owner comes to claim the dog or up to 72 hours, whichever comes first. If the dog is not claimed by its owner within 72 hours, it is taken to Greenhill Humane Society in Eugene.

Remember to pay extra attention when driving near a school bus! When the school bus stop sign is out, kids are crossing. Be sure to stop and wait until it is safe to go!

Creswell Heroes. Melissa Patricelli. Founder and Executive Director of Blue Barn Farm & Animal Sanctuary. For the past seven years, Melissa Patricelli has been a vital part of the Creswell community as the founder and executive director of Blue Barn Farm & Sanctuary, a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing farm animals and promoting kindness through humane education. Melissa established Blue Barn with the goal of creating a sanctuary for both animals and the community. “I wanted to build a place that nurtures kindness and compassion, especially in young people,” she says, hoping to provide a safe space for unity during a divisive time. Blue Barn has launched several initiatives, including the Bunnies n Books program, which pairs animal interactions with reading activities for kids, and Kindness Camp days. The sanctuary also rescued 10 abandoned cats, providing medical care and preparing them for adoption. Blue Barn plans to expand its efforts to offer spaying and neutering services for local animals. Melissa’s passion for Creswell is clear, and she hopes to engage more community members as Blue Barn grows. “We’re excited to open to the public and connect with more residents as we expand our educational programs and volunteer base,” she says. Blue Barn is always looking for volunteers and supporters. To get involved, visit https://www.bluebarnsanctuary.org/
